Attorney Dwayne Henry Joins Lieutenant Governor’s
Office as Legal Counsel
Lt. Governor Gregory R. Francis is pleased to announce the addition of Attorney Dwayne Henry to the staff at the Office of the Lieutenant Governor. Attorney Henry fills the position of legal counsel within the office.
Prior to this position, Attorney Henry most recently served as an assistant attorney general within the Department of Justice and as legal counsel at the Division of Environmental Protection at DPNR, where his work included environmental law and dealing with planning and land use issues. He has practiced privately with the Law Offices of John K. Dema and has also worked as a federal sector law clerk at the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission.
A native son, Attorney Henry earned his law degree from the Norman Wiggins School of Law at Campbell University in Raleigh, North Carolina after a stint in the U.S. Army where he served as a paratrooper during a combat tour and a UN peacekeeping mission.
