LIEUTENANT GOVERNOR OSBERT E. POTTER EXTENDS HIS CONDOLENCES ON THE LOSS OF ALVIN GEE

Lieutenant Governor Osbert E. Potter extends his sincere condolences to the family and friends of Alvin Gee, Virgin Islands radio news personality.  Alvin Southwell, affectionately known as “Alvin Gee” or “Al G”, became known as the official voice of Virgin Islands news.  His work product was authentic, accurate, timely and reliable.  His sudden passing was a shock to the entire community.  Local radio news will not be the same without him.

Lieutenant Governor Potter stated, "’Al G’ was the consummate professional. He made the news more than just news, he made it a ‘must-listen-to event.’ His voice drew you closer to the radio as he systematically broke the news down from the top headlines to the ‘also in the news’ items.  Al G was at the top of his game when he left us so suddenly this past Thursday. I miss him already."
