Lt. Governor Speaks to High School Students About Life Choices
Lieutenant Governor Gregory R. Francis recently met with sociology students at the Charlotte Amalie High School to discuss a book written by St. Thomas native Delvin “Dutchie” Robinson.The book, “Changing Your Mind – One Degree at a Time”, encourages readers to take a daily, systematic approach to turning their lives around.
The Lieutenant Governor’s visit with the students was facilitated by CAHS teacher Ms. Njanaya Boyd.Boyd welcomed the Lt. Governor and thanked him for honoring his commitment to meet with the class.She noted that reading the book has changed the lives of her students by helping them to seek better or healthier resolutions to adversity.
The Lieutenant Governor led a lively discussion about the students’ favorite chapters of the book.The entire class was engaged in the conversation about the book and related ways that they have applied the wisdom contained in each individual chapter to their lives.
