Lieutenant Governor Gregory R. Francis
joined Governor John P. deJongh, Jr. in thanking St. Croix school
administrators for their service and commitment to educating the territory’s
youth.The School Administrators
Appreciation Reception was held on Tuesday, November 27, 2012 at Government
House on St. Croix.
Principals and assistant principals
from St. Croix’s public, private and parochial schools were the guests of honor
at the reception, which recognized their collective efforts to support learning
and student achievement.Lt. Governor
Francis praised the honorees for their competent management of their school
environments and team building efforts.“I commend your ongoing initiatives to meaningfully engage your faculty,
staff and students.This shared vision
and purpose has helped our schools to meet AYP standards, achieve accreditation
and produce students who are prepared to pursue higher education, participate
in the workplace and be citizens of our community.”
The ceremony honoring school administrators in the
St. Thomas/St. John district will be held on Wednesday, November 28, 2012 at
Government House on St. Thomas.
