Lt. Governor Francis Named to Leadership
of National Lieutenant Governor’s Association

Lieutenant Governor Gregory R. Francis has once again been selected to serve on the leadership committee of the National Lieutenant Governor’s Association (NLGA).  Francis will continue to serve as the East Region Chair of the NLGA Executive Committee, a position he has held since 2009.

As a member of the Executive Committee, Francis is part of a team that charts the course of policy issues and national impact to be pursued by the nation’s second highest state and territorial officeholders.  Francis’ unanimous election among officials of both parties from every region of the country speaks to the high regard he is held in among his peers.

Lt. Governor Francis has successfully implemented NLGA initiatives locally and  has joined lieutenant governors across the United States in offering a resolution titled, “Better Health Care for All”, that seeks to provide every American with access to high quality and affordable health care.  He has sponsored free asthma and cervical cancer screenings throughout the territory and worked to raise awareness about these diseases.  Francis also serves on the Policy Resolutions Committee, where he has co-sponsored a number of resolutions to include one which recognizes the home building industry as critical to the nation’s economic recovery and critical to helping Americans realize the dream of homeownership.

The NLGA is a bi-partisan association enabling regional and nationwide policy discussion and progress at the state level.
