Lt. Governor Gregory Francis Extends Condolences to the Family of Former Senator Lorraine L. Berry

Lieutenant Governor Gregory R. Francis offered his deepest sympathies to Mr. Richard Berry and the family, friends and supporters of former senator Lorraine L. Berry upon learning that she lost her valiant battle against cancer.

“Senator Berry will be remembered as an icon in Virgin Islands history and politics.  She represented our diverse community of French descendants with pride, but always fought equally for the greater good of all Virgin Islanders.  She showed us how to fight our battles with dignity and to stand for what you believed in,” Lt. Governor Francis said.  “Her life reflects her commitment to the Virgin Islands and its progress.”

“I am honored to have known her and on behalf of my wife, Cheryl and the staff at the Lieutenant Governor’s Office, we extend sincere condolences to her family and close friends,” Lt. Governor said. “She will be missed by all.”
