Lieutenant Governor Gregory R. Francis is strongly encouraging and reminding corporate citizens to update any and all outdated Resident Agent Information which is used for service of legal process, in accordance with Section 51, Title 13, V.I.C., the General Corporations Law.  Failure to obtain and designate a resident agent could result in the certification of such facts to the United States attorney who may commence an action in the district court leading to the forfeiture of the negligent corporation’s charter.
