Lt. Governor’s Office to Host Week of Customer Service Training for Government Employees

The Office of Lt. Governor Gregory R. Francis will host a series of workshops on customer training for government employees from February 19-22, 2008.  The workshops, titled “Remind Me Why I Took This Job”, will be held on both St. Thomas and St. Croix.  Dr. Sean Joyce, a nationally recognized consultant and author, will lead the sessions designed to improve the government’s customer service product.

Customer service is a priority of the Lieutenant Governor.  “When I took office as the Lieutenant Governor of the Virgin Islands, I committed to improving the customer service product that this government offers to the people – the customers of the Virgin Islands,” Francis says.  He advocates that the public is entitled to good service that is properly and politely provided.  “Every government worker must realize that there is great value in providing government service.”

St. Croix sessions will be held in the second floor Cabinet Room at Government House on February 19 and 20.  Workshops on St. Thomas will be held on February 21 and 22 at the Benjamin Auditorium at the Charlotte Kimelman Cancer Institute.  For more information, contact the Office of the Lt. Governor at (340)773-6449 extension 3403.
