Office of Lt. Governor Staff Participates in Sexual Harassment Training Exercises
The staff of the Office of the Lieutenant Governor on St. Croix is participating in sexual harassment training conducted by the Public Employees Relations Board. The training, which details and promotes appropriate workplace interaction, is mandated for all Government of the Virgin Islands employees.
“Lt. Governor Gregory Francis really wanted us to be proactive and to be an example to all other agencies within the Government,” said Raymond Williams, chief of staff for the Office of the Lt. Governor. “We have always strived to promote a healthy and productive workplace environment and this is one more effort to do so.”
The training, which has been divided into three sessions over the past week, ends Wednesday, July 1, 2009. It is conducted from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the PERB offices in Gallows Bay. Training for the employees in the St. Thomas/St. John District will take place within a few weeks.
