Second Lady Cheryl Francis to Bring Christmas Cheer
to St. Croix Headstart Children
Cheryl Francis, Second Lady of the United States Virgin Islands, will bring Christmas cheer to children at the Anna’s Hope Headstart Center on St. Croix on Wednesday, December 19, 2007.Mrs. Francis will be presenting gifts donated by the Employee Relations Committee of the Office of the Lieutenant Governor.The gift presentation to the children will be made at 11:30 a.m.
The Employee Relations Committee works to foster improved workplace relations and coordinate outreach activities of the Office of the Lieutenant Governor.Over the past few weeks, they have collected toys, books and stuffed animals to give to the Headstart students.
The gifts are donated in memory of Myr-Chel Smith, an employee of BearingPoint, who passed away this year.Smith was a very active member of the Employee Relations Committee.
The Office of the Lieutenant Governor will also spread Christmas cheer on St. Thomas with a gift presentation to the Children’s Ward at the Roy Lester Schneider Hospital. Toys and other gifts donated by the Employee Relations Committee on St. Thomas will be presented to children at the hospital on Friday, December 21, 2007 at 10:00 a.m.
