St. Thomas Employees Have Car Loads of Fun to Raise Money for a Good Cause
Employees of the Office of the Lieutenant Governor on St. Thomas recently rallied to raise money for a good cause – sick children at the Roy Lester Schneider Hospital.The fundraising drive – which was coordinated by the Employee Relations Committee (ERC) – raised money to purchase Christmas toys and gifts.
Erica Dover, ERC President, says the group has done a lot in the three months it has been active.To date, members have held a car wash and a raffle.The proceeds of these were used to purchase toys for the children at the Roy Lester Schneider Hospital.
The Employee Relations Committee works to foster improved workplace relations and coordinate outreach activities of the Office of the Lieutenant Governor. Dover, who works with the Tax Assessor’s Office, says that the group has about fifteen members but is hoping to grow. “I am looking forward to more employees joining so that we can motivate each other,” she says.
Sakeena George of the Tax Assessor Office is the Treasurer of the ERC.Kishma Hodge of the Passport Office is the Secretary.
