VI SHIP/Medicare Hosting Town Hall Meetings
The Virgin Islands State Health Insurance Program (SHIP), in conjunction with the Office of the Lieutenant Governor and the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), invite the public to attend town hall meetings that will take place throughout the territory next week. The meeting for the St. Thomas/St. John district will take place on Wednesday, January 26, 2011 at the Anna’s Retreat Center located at #4175 Estate Anna’s Retreat, St. Thomas. The St. Croix meeting will be held on Thursday, January 27, 2011 at the American Legion Hall in Frederiksted, located at #15-16 Prince Street. Both meetings will be from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
The town hall meetings will provide a valuable opportunity for Medicare beneficiaries, their caregivers/family members and persons who will soon be age-eligible for Medicare to voice their concerns and ask any questions they may have regarding Medicare. Representatives from the CMS New York Regional Office will be present to respond to questions regarding the Medicare program.
