VI SHIP Wins Award at National Conference
The Virgin Islands State Health Insurance Assistance Program (SHIP) was recently recognized for their outstanding service to Medicare beneficiaries in the Territory. The award was presented to VI SHIP Director Rena Sarauw at the 16th annual SHIP Director’s conference in Chicago, Illinois earlier this month.
Ms. Sarauw said she was both surprised and pleased by the national award and called it an acknowledgment of the good work that VI SHIP does in the community.
“VI SHIP is honored to be recognized and ranked at the top in the country for our service to the Medicare beneficiaries in the Territory,” she said.
Lieutenant Governor Gregory R. Francis said he too was delighted by the continued recognition that VI SHIP has garnered due to their diligent work.
“This award just reaffirms our commitment to the Medicare outreach programs in our community and our continued efforts to provide quality service and assistance to all Medicare beneficiaries here in the Virgin Islands,” he said.
