Lieutenant Governor Tregenza A. Roach, Esq., who also serves as Chairman of the Virgin Islands Banking Board, announces that the Board will meet on Tuesday, February 26, 2019, 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Second Floor Rotunda at the Office of the Lieutenant Governor, St. Thomas. The Banking Board licenses and regulates every local bank that conducts business in the Territory. During the Banking Board meeting, through its senior managers, each local bank is required to present its “State of the Bank” report to the Board. Each bank is also asked to present its report on whether the financial institution can accept as deposits, proceeds from the sale of legal marijuana.
