The Division of Notary Public is primarily responsible for overseeing all licensed public servants of the state (Virgin Islands) who administer oaths and affirmations. In addition, the notary division also monitors the licensed individuals to ensure they comply with all state laws.

Notary Services or Apostille Request Office Hours Monday – Friday 9:00am to 4:00pm

Payment can be submitted by way of money order or cashier’s check made payable to the Government of the Virgin Islands

Notary Fee

Each notary public may charge and retain a fee not to exceed $5.00 for each document notarized or for each time his or her seal is affixed to a document.

Lt. Governor’s Office Not Accepting New Notary Applications

Pursuant to Title 3, VIC, Chapter 29, s. 771(a), Effective immediately, the Notary Division, under the Office of the Lieutenant Governor,  will not be accepting NEW APPLICATIONS. Only RENEWAL APPLICATIONS will be accepted.
