Lieutenant Governor Tregenza A. Roach, Esq. reminds Virgin Islands residents that property tax bills were due on August 15, 2019. This reminder is being issued to encourage property owners to make prompt payment in order to avoid penalties and fees resulting from delinquent payments.
Lieutenant Governor Roach further reminds residents that, unpaid bills, when they become delinquent, will be eligible for the collection and auction process, at which time interest and penalties will accrue. Delinquencies prior to 2019 will also be eligible for the collection and auction process.
Property tax bills can be paid online at https://propertytax.vi.gov. The invoice number and control number, which can be found on the tax bill, are required for online payment. Payments can also be made, in person, at the following locations on each island:
St. John: Islandia Building, 18-23 Enighed (until further notice, limited services 9:00am – 3:00pm Tuesdays and Thursdays)
St. Thomas: Builders Emporium Building, 2nd Floor, 52E-1 Estate Thomas
Nisky Center Suite #2, 1st Floor (Office of the Tax Collector)
Nisky Center Suite #2A, 1st Floor (Passport Office)
St. Croix: 1105 King Street (Government House, Christiansted)

Property owners who are delinquent in paying their taxes are encouraged to contact the Office of the Tax Collector to make arrangements for a payment plan option. Payment plans may be arranged by visiting the Office of the Tax Collector on the island of St. Croix at the Leroy Quinn Finance Building and on the island of St. Thomas at Suite 2, Nisky Center.
