Lieutenant Governor Tregenza A. Roach, Esq. reminds all notary publics within the Territory that there are to be no increase of notary fees until further notice by the Office of the Lieutenant Governor’s Notary Public Division.
Notary publics currently charging clients increased prices are prohibited from doing so until the new fees are enacted. The cost of $5.00 per document still remains in effect for all notarial documents. Any person who is charged a fee in excess of $5.00 per document is asked to inform the Office of the Lieutenant Governor of such a charge.
The Division will keep the public informed of when new fees are to be enacted, which will be done consistently with the provisions of the Virgin Islands Revised Uniform Law on Notarial Acts, recently signed into law.
