LIEUTENANT GOVERNOR ROACH ANNOUNCES TEMPORARY CESSATION OF IN-PERSON SERVICES OF ALL DIVISIONS LOCATED AT BUILDERS EMPORIUM, ESTATE THOMAS

Lieutenant Governor Tregenza A. Roach, Esq. advises the public that effective Monday, July 6, 2020 to Friday, July 10, 2020 all divisions of the Office of the Lieutenant Governor located on St. Thomas at the Builders Emporium, Estate Thomas location will temporarily cease in-person operations.

The purpose of the temporary cessation of services is to permanently relocate all divisions to the new office location at Nisky Center. Divisions impacted by the move will include the Office of the Tax Assessor, Recorder of Deeds, Division of Corporations and Trademarks, and cashier services.

During this period, the public can still contact all divisions by calling 340-774-2991 for additional information or assistance. Information is also available on the Office of the Lieutenant Governor’s website at ltg.gov.vi.

Property tax payments can be made online or in person at the Office of the Tax Collector, located at Suite #2 of the Nisky Center. Cashier services will be provided at the Office of the Tax Collector until further notice.

The Division of Corporations and Trademarks will continue to be accessible through its online Catalyst system at: www.corporationsandtrademarks.vi.gov.  Division services, however, will be delayed during this period.

“The temporary restriction of in-person services is necessary to complete all matters related to the offices re-location and to ensure the safety of the members of the public during the moving process. All attempts are being made to ensure that the relocation occurs expeditiously and is as least disruptive to the services provided by the affected divisions. We apologize for any inconvenience,” said Lieutenant Governor Roach.

The Office of the Lieutenant Governor will keep the public informed on when all divisions will resume full operations at the new Nisky Center location.
