It is my distinct privilege to join the entire Virgin Islands in honoring the brave men and women who have served in all branches of the United States military. As a grateful community, we thank you for your service to our nation.
We often speak of the valor and courage that our military Veterans have demonstrated in protecting our country. However, there are no words to truly illustrate the acts of patriotism and the selfless service displayed on American and foreign soil.
To our Veterans, we salute you and observe today in your honor. Your sacrifice and commitment are appreciated and valued with the highest regard. You are our heroes and sheroes, and we celebrate each of you for remaining steadfast. Despite the challenges and dangerous conditions, you faced while serving in respective branches of the military, you fearlessly gave of yourself.
On this Veterans Day 2021, we thank you for all that you have done for our country. I encourage the people of the Virgin Islands to continue to convey the gratitude deserved by every man and woman who provided military service.
Veterans Day is intended as an occasion to honor those who have served in all military branches. Now and always, we celebrate you and keep you in our thoughts.
